In 1992, the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act mandated that in 2017 all remaining JFK records and redactions be released. However, the National Archives has recently informed federal agencies that if they intend on maintaining secrecy over these records they should begin preparing appeals to the next president of the United States. We are working to ensure that the law is upheld.
We are calling on you, fellow Americans, to come together and ensure that our government upholds the law.
In order to control the future of your country, you must first understand the past. 2017JFK is partnering with a number of reputable organizations, dedicated to promoting professional and academic research into the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
The Assassination Archives and Research Center was founded in 1984 to provide a permanent organization which would acquire, preserve, and disseminate information on political assassinations.
JFK Facts (JFKfacts.org) seeks to become the premier Web destination for hiqh-quality information about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. We fact-check JFK-related news stories, blogs, YouTube videos, books, and movies with the goal of dispelling confusion and establishing an accurate historical record.
Our goal is to make research materials concerning Kennedy's assassination easily available to everyone. Our prime concern is the accuracy of history and the true story of the turbulent 1960s.
The time to get involved is now. Let us know how you'd like to help or participate in one of the efforts underway below.
